 This week we have had the Thai International schools inspectorate out (ONESQA) at the school, checking all of the schools systems, ensuring that we are following the required standards and practices.

The hot season has finally arrived and the temperature is getting hotter by the day. This is also a good time to remind you as parents that you can put a hat into your children’s bag along with any sun block. I have spoken with the teachers and reinforced the importance, of keeping well hydrated with drinking water, at regular intervals.
One thing I especially like to see, which is not linked to the academic curriculum, but is very important, in my opinion.

One of my earliest recollections of school, besides the teachers and doing all the different subjects, was the ‘school dinners’. School dinners are legendary across the UK, not always for the best reasons. I have to say that I was very lucky at school, as the school provided very nice food and a variety of choice, just like we do here at Heathfield.

I would like to thank all the parents and guardians who attended the Performance Indicators in Primary Schools (PIPS) presentation this week. Hopefully many people have a better understanding than before about PIPS testing. The PIPs give teachers some great information and not just a grade or where they are in a position.

The year is going very quickly and we are now moving into the second half of the academic year. I would like to thank all those parents/guardians who came to see the annual sports day. Each year we are getting bigger and more people are joining in. It is not only the children but also the parents. who enjoy getting involved in the races and activities.

 It has been a very busy two weeks since the last newsletter with many different activities occurring in the school. One of the important aspects of being in an international school and being an international student is that of internationalism.
